Nicholas Fitzgerald
Music has always been my strongest way of self-expression, as well as my strongest passion. I grew up in Northern Massachusetts, and started playing guitar at the age of 13. Once I reached high school, I began to get involved in music production, and recording. At the time I was playing bass guitar for a local band, and learning what would become my primary instrument; keyboards. Experimenting with digital recording ultimately inspired me to study in the Music Technology and Music Industry fields at Northeastern University. During my college years, I have taken a position as a sound designer at dSonic Studios, and have specialized in live sound at JamSpot Inc.
I do not limit myself to any particular genre when it comes to writing and recording music. I have worked with the Alternative/Rock, Hardcore, Hip-Hop, Electro-Acoustic, and Contemporary Classical genres to name a few, and feel that music should not be strictly bound by rules. Music can be very powerful and unique for expression, and is what I consider to be a true art form. By utilizing my knowledge of instruments and digital music production, I feel I can at least find a sense of self-accomplishment and self-expression in the music that I write.
