Catherine De La Rosa

Catherine De La Rosa was born in Queens, New York and attended Talent Unlimited High School in Manhattan where she majored in vocal music. She enjoys all the aspects of music: singing, dancing, listening, and composing music. She decided to be more of a behind the scenes person instead of the spot light after attended a Summer Scholars Program in the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. There she learned a little bit about Broadcast Journalism, how to work a control room, cameras, and be in front of the cameras. That's when she knew she wanted to learn the technical side of music and decided to attend Northeastern University's Music Technology Program. Now she has a deeper understanding and appreciation for creating music acoustically and electronically. Her passions are sound effects and ambience music, she would also like to pursue audio engineering and continue composing acoustic pieces and maybe one day have her music recorded. She still loves singing and has composed some vocal pieces and hopes to also create electronic vocal pieces, which has become her most recent interest in music composition.

Underwater Dreams
In this piece the main idea was an underwater dream, there is a journey that must be taken there is a message that is guiding you, but you don't understand. There is tension and the confusion builds, you are trying to understand you run and you still have yet to understand. Then suddenly there is slight clarity and soon after everything goes black and you wake up..... or do you?
